October Member
of the
Month award goes to MyFroggy1. She is a
member who moved
with us from Delphi to our new home at
MSN. Froggy has her own unique graphical way of giving
caring support to members. Her posts are full
of her humor and caring support and can be found
in every message board at our MSN site. It's doubtful that there is anyone in our group
who has not received a message from her or spent an
evening chatting with her.
Congratulations
Froggy! This award is indeed well deserved! We
hope you'll display it proudly in your messages at MSN.

The
following is an excerpt from Froggy's introduction.
"I'm married to a wonderful guy, Steve. We have 4 kids. Mya Leigh 23, Eryn Lynn
22, Adam Mark 22, and Jade Marie 18. I met him while we were in the Army, six
weeks later we were married. Going on 25 years now. We were both in Military
Intelligence. I got out of the service when they were going to send me to
Germany, and Steve to D.C. I was pregnant with our first. Froggy
has lived with chronic pain for 10 years."

Volunteer
of the Month
CPSG
co-Managers, RaggedyAnne and SunE1, believe it
is important to recognize the caring support our volunteer
staff give each day, so they initiated the Volunteer
of the month Award. For October, the recipient was selected
by RaggedyAnne and SunE1. Going forward the Volunteer
of the Month will be voted on by members of CPSG.

October's Volunteer
of the
Month award goes to MarieP,
a greeter for CPSG. She is one of
our Canadian members
and her primary langage
is French. It's quite an accomplishment that she
keeps up with all the messages on our boards as she translates
them from French into English!
Marie
is a fairly new volunteer, but not new to pain or
our group. She joined CPSG in 2001 and began volunteering
in September 2003.
Marie
is a "greeter" for CPSG and does a great job!
She also teamed with Tammyzoo (our Group's Secretary) to ensure
that all members still posting to Delphi received
a message informing them about our move. Thank you
Marie for your caring support and extra effort during
our hectic move to MSN! We hope you enjoy your award
and post it proudly in your messages and/or eMail.

The
following is an excerpt from Marie's post to our Introductions
message board:
"For over 10 years now, I gradually degraded to what I am today, went to doc. to
doc. had antidepression meds that I did not need,Tried about all the NSAID's on
the market before finding one that don't eat my stomach, was on the one pill a
day regiment for a while, when dr's were afraid to prescribed too much
narcotics, when I needed 6 to 8 acetaminophen + codeine. Because of fear of the
aceta. I kept taking very few and bonded with my pain. I have DDD, back and neck
problems, chronic hip pain, bursitis ,osteoarthritis, sciatica, migraines used
to have about 10-15 days a month but since on MSContin have few 3-4 a month,"
